However, this is only true for people who have vitamin B deficiency. If your body is not low in Vitamin B-12, taking more will not do anything, no matter what you hear from people.
There is no solid scientific proof or reason for vitamin B-12 in any form — including vitamin B-12 injections — to help people lose weight.
If you do have a Vitamin B deficiency, you can take vitamin tablets. They’re absorbed quickly and if you have one capsule every day, you should be fine.

Fortunately the B12 vitamin is mostly harmless. It has extremely low toxicity and even taking it in big doses appears not to be harmful to healthy individuals.

In my opinion, taking vitamin b12 injections for weight loss is NOT a good idea.
The best solution for someone who wants to lose weight and shape up is to just go on a healthy, low calorie diet and get themselves into gear working out.
If you believe you may have B-12 deficiency, you can get the exact benefits from other less-radical sources, like food, or sub-lingual tablets. Talk to your doctor and consider eating more foods that are rich in vitamin B-12, rather than turning to vitamin B-12 injections.
B12 simply boosts up your metabolism – if you have a deficiency. That’s what it is all about.
Seriously, there are much better ways to lose weight, and much more effective. Resist the lure of quick and easy solutions. What counts is a healthy lifestyle. Enjoy healthier foods and include physical activity in your daily routine.
