Is The Green Tea Diet Really Effective?

I never used to understand people who were always looking for an easy way to lose weight. I mean, its all about diet and exercise! “Calories in” needs to be lees than “calories out”. Just start running or working out and you’ll lose weight!

Those little sayings worked great for me until after I had been married for a couple of years and had a kid. Suddenly, Saturday afternoon bike rides with the guys was not something I could break away for as easily. Plus, with an extra mouth to feed, I often find myself working overtime and eating whatever break-room food I can scrounge from the vending machine.

So now I have a better understanding of why so many people are looking for healthy weight-loss options.

Recently, I was talking with a family member about how they use Green tea diet pills to lose weight. It sounded too good to be true, so I did a little research.

I mean, I love green tea. Any given day I will probably drink a cup or two. So does green tea help someone lose weight?

After scrounging around on the internet I found some research performed on rats that pointed to the fact that rats who are fed green tea have a slightly higher metabolism – causing them to burn calories faster. This is called a thermogenic effect, and is a milder form of what used to be commonly found in extreme diet pills such as Phen-Phen.

There’s not a lot of concrete evidence on the effectiveness of green tea and weight loss. Some estimates point to a cup of green tea helping one burn about 50 extra calories. Other marketers claim that their diet pills have the “essential ingredients” of 5 cups of green tea in one pill.

The nice thing is, there are many reputable green tea diet pills on the market that are fairly inexpensive to try. Just be sure to stay away from pricey schemes such as the Cho Yung green tea scam.

When combined with a healthy diet and exercise, you may just find that green tea diet pills give that extra little push you need to meet your weight loss goals!
